In 1986, I wanted to find out why does the devanagari letter AUM (pronounced OM) look like it does. I had an impression that it`s shape was seen by some holy man very long time ago in his meditation. All the letters in devanagari (alphabet in Sanskrit language) have certain vibration which correspond to the vibration of the particular chakras (chakra – energetical whirl in the body). OM corresponds with the highest chakra called sahasrara-chakra. While singing and painting OM, I was trying to align myself with it`s frequency and understand the form of this letter. Approximately after one year of painting I succeeded in realizing the symbolic meaning of OM. After that I continued painting. I used the pictures to express the development of structures and stages of consciousness as it was clearer for me than a sign. Through the pictures we can effectively share more information from different levels when compared to a long text.
From time to time I showed some of the pictures to my friends and they usually asked me to paint a picture for them. Therefore i have become more interested in painting, actually in drawing, because I use a technique of dry pastel on velour paper, which I have learned from Miloš Kurovský.
Our mind and also our general vibration changes while painting when we open up and let the theme influence and inspire us. At the same time our vibrations are encompassed into what we are creating and permanent channel on the particular energetical level.
If we understand painting as a path of searching and finding the Highest Reality or Cosmic Consciousness (everyone calls it differently), then our attitude to life will change naturally and we will develope and deepen our respect towards all living creatures and towards ourselves.
